Golden Isles

They don’t call them the Golden Isles without reason.  Four hundred years ago when Spanish settlers looking for gold discovered these barrier islands off the coast of Georgia, they found gold of another kind.  Sunlight reflected on the marshes gives these islands a radiance that I wanted to capture in this painting.
